The Malaysian Amateur Athletics Union's (MAAU) executive board has given its deputy president Karim Ibrahim a mandate to discuss the status of its president Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim who is expected to contest for the post of Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president. MAAU deputy president Karim Ibrahim said the decision was made during the MAAU executive board meeting last Saturday. "Although we had initially nominated him for the contest, we (MAAU) want to know whether he was firm on the decision.
