Smashing Perling Badminton Club got off to a flying start in their AEON Credit Purple League Junior 2021-2022 (ACPLPJ) campaign when they clinched their ticket in style to next month's grand finals.  The southern club side's Under-15 squad grabbed two emphatic victories over Mentakab BC (15-0) and Seremban City BC (13-4) to top the charts with the highest accumulated points (332-163) in the opening leg of the two-day tournament held at the Smazh Premium Outlet here in Malacca. Butterworth Badminton Club and Ampang Jaya Badminton Club booked their semi-final berths in style in the Top Glove Purple League Pro-Am 2021 (TGPLPA). As expected, both Butterworth BC and Ampang Jaya BC advanced from Group A and B respectively. Ampang Jaya BC strolled past BU Dragons BC 9-2 in the Junior Champions Challenge (JCC) 2016 final to win the title earlier today at the Sports Arena, Bukit Serdang.
