Johor Umno rejects any form of betting in sports, including the much talked about football betting, said Johor Umno liaison chief Abdul Ghani Othman. Speaking to reporters after emerging from a liaison meeting which he chaired in Johor Bahru today, Abdul Ghani (left) said the decision was following reaction gathered from the people of Johor. IFA’s Referee Committee today assigned Ravshan Irmatov from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as a referee for the opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ held in Johannesburg Soccer City at 16:00 between France and Mexico. PAS today urged the Council of Rulers to intervene against the federal government decision to issue a sports betting licence.
