The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has formed a cooperation with world governing body, Fifa and England FA to help raise the standard of local football, especially women's football. FAM Secretary General Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad said the cooperation was to enhance development, promotion and marketing of women's football, so that the sport can become popular. Malaysia's first participation in the Olympics history began in 1956, but until today, the sports industry in this country is still considered as a young and emerging sector. And 10 years ago, sports contributed about RM10 million for the country but today, nobody knows about the exact figure of the young industry.
