Every year, multi-talented Malaysian football administrators are being wooed by foreign clubs and nations to chart their fortunes. Such brain-drainage of Malaysians with technical skills and knowledge simply has no ending. This is not only a big loss to the nation in terms of human capital but indeed a tragic one. Tragic because while their ‘expertise’ is well recognized and capitalized on by foreign nations local football governing bodies at state and national levels seems to have turned a blind eye on them. Three Malaysians have so far made the exodus before this and now 51-year-old Jeysing Gnana Kannu Muthiah, a former...

The fifth edition of CFAL was clearly the biggest cycling event held in the state, covering a distance of 82km around the island without any hitches, as cyclists from all walks of life, young and old, including several from neighboring states and Southeast Asian nations graced the occasion. Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng, had earlier in the morning flagged off the cyclists at the Esplanade to mark an awareness campaign to promote...

WINDSOR Paul John has been appointed Deputy General Secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). He will now assist AFC General Secretary Dato Alex Soosay in all administrative matters. This latest move by AFC is seen by the Asian governing body recognizing Windsor’s ability in the administrative field as the man has been performing his jobs rather diligently, and with so much passion. Of recent, football’s world governing body, FIFA, had so much of faith in Windsor’s ability too. He was appointed by Fifa...
